It was a beautiful Sunday this past weekend, so we took the opportunity to head down to the lagoon mouth and see what it's looking like after the natural breach that occurred some months earlier. Well, a picture is worth 1000 words!
The lagoon now resembles a desert oasis in parts, with the flow of the Bot River very much subdued. It's difficult to believe that this was full to the brim a short time ago!
This is the perfect opportunity for guests of Oppiedam Family Cabins to easily access the beach or dip your feet in the cool flowing water. Or better yet, take a basket of goodies and a blanket and enjoy a picnic next to the waters edge and take in the glorious views surrounding you! Just be careful not to let a sea bird đ§ steal your sandwich đ.
