Cape Town
± 1¼ hours each way
In this second instalment of our interesting things to do series we explore Cape Town, or the Mother City.
There is just so much to see and do in Cape Town, that you can’t do it justice on just one day trip, or one post.
Popular spots to visit are Table Mountain, the Waterfront, Penguins at Simonstown, Robben Island, Cape Point and Kirstenbosch.
There are also fabulous beaches at Camps Bay and Clifton, Muizenberg and Fish hoek. In romantic Hout Bay you can visit the World of Birds, and perhaps take a boat trip to Seal Island. A visit to the beautiful wine farm of Groot Constantia is a must!
You can spend a whole day at most of these places.
As one of our guests said:
We once walked up Table Mountain. Yes, it can be done, and there are several route options that are not too strenuous either. Alternatively there is always the option to use the cable car. The whole trip, to and from Table Mountain, including admiring the view at many places, took us about 10 hours. It was worth it. Wonderful hike!
